We do hope you all enjoyed yourselves over the last week

This week on Tuesday 17th August, Indonesia celebrated its 65th anniversary of independence. Celebrations however were somewhat muted as the holiday this year coincided with the fasting period of Ramadan. Not surprising a day of energetic activities such as greasy pole climbing and tug-of-war competitions did not appeal too many of those who were fasting.  We do think however Independence Day is an appropriate time for Indonesian's to reflect proudly on Indonesia's current place in the world as an emerging powerhouse economy and the 3rd largest democracy in the world.
